For the next 52 weeks (give or take), I will spend 169 hours (starting Monday at 12:00am) DOING or NOT DOING a particular thing.
Why do this?
Restricting yourself from something, or committing to making a chance, even for a short time, is a worthwhile effort. I anticipate that these mini-experiments will yield some interesting and unexpected results, but probably mostly just me getting cranky and inconveniencing my family.
Will these be huge life changing things?
Not really, no. Most of them will be restricting myself from certain activities, conveniences, foods, etc. What I’m most interested in seeing is how I work around these restrictions or adjust to new requirements. Though I anticipate that some weird things may happen.
Why 169 hours?
Willpower is a finite resource. When it’s gone, it’s gone. 7 days is a reasonable amount of time for me to put my head down and power though any challenging parts. You can do anything for a week?

I think it has, but what hasn't? The blog is more to keep me accountable and have a place to share my experience. Plus AD DOLLAR MILLIONS NOM NOM NOM>
What's the process gonna be?
On Sunday night I will post what the next week's THING is. This will have my expectations, any exceptions, and if I think I'll make it. I'll post updates during the week (if applicable), and then when the week is over I'll share my thoughts.

There may be exceptions in the practical matters of safety, family, and work. I'll attempt to keep these to a minimum. You don't like it, I'll grant you a full refund.
